      Responsibilities

      AN UNCOMMON INTERNSHIP

      Special projects. Job shadowing. Real work—both in the office and out in the field— to enhance your skills. At FM, you’ll deepen your practical engineering knowledge and pave your road to success by taking an immersive journey into our business. Highlights of this program include:

      Get the inside track

      • Explore our unique business model and key differentiators through training, research and first-hand experience
      • Shadow employees in a range of departments
      • Attend meetings and experience being part of the FM team

      Take a deep dive into loss prevention standards

      • Gain exposure to our training program for consultant engineers
      • Access on-demand learning sessions across a range of topics
      • Learn how to apply our loss prevention standards for FM clients

      Identify & understand risk

      • Join your mentor in the field and live a “day in the life” of a consultant engineer
      • Assist with special projects
      • See how engineering data is used throughout the company

      Qualifications

      Qualifications, skills and requirements:

      • Open to students studying Undergraduate, Honours, Postgraduate, Masters, or PHD.
      • Must be in penultimate (second to last) or final year of university.
      • GPA/WAM of at least distinction average
      • Candidates must have the right to work in Australia to be considered for this role (Australian citizen, permanent resident, NZ resident).
      • Strong verbal and written communications skills, including fluency in English language.
      • Good analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving skills
      • Efficient time management ability with work independently with minimal supervision
      • Physical ability to walk up and down the stairs, lift >12 kilos, balance, and safely working at heights
