Job Description

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to install interior wall systems, cabinets, medical equipment, and various other items in mobile medical units. The role involves measuring and cutting materials according to custom specifications, using hand and power tools for preparation, and working with fiberboard, drywall, aluminum, and stainless steel components. You will also be responsible for inspecting and cleaning mobile units during the finishing process.

Responsibilities

• Install interior wall systems into mobile medical units
• Install cabinets, medical equipment, and various items such as soap dispensers, blinds, routers, TVs, medical chairs, and x-ray equipment
• Measure and cut materials according to custom specifications
• Use hand and power tools to prepare materials for installation
• Work with fiberboard, drywall, aluminum, and stainless steel components
• Inspect and clean mobile units during the finishing process

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in general construction, drywall installation, finish carpentry, cabinet building, trim work, or home remodeling
• Attention to detail
• Ability to read a tape measure to at least 1/16th
• Proficiency with hand and power tools with 3+ years of experience
• Ability to bring own set of tools
• Blueprint reading
• Framing
• Finish carpentry
• Understanding of schematics

Work Environment

You will work in a clean and organized shop with 9 different cells that trucks go through within their process. Each cell has tasks that are consistent each week with minor changes based on varying customer specifications. The schedule is from 7am to 3:30pm, with the option to start earlier at 5am to maintain the 3:30pm finish. We are very big on family and work-life balance and strive to finish on time every day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
