- Rack or wire parts and dip them in chemical baths and rinse tanks.
- Dry parts with forced air and clean or wax the finished product.
- Process living finishes using burnishing machines, which require exposure to nut shells.
- Perform electro-stripping to remove the outer chrome plated layer and expose the bright nickel finish.
- Peel or unwrap parts in preparation for further finishing, verifying type and quantity of parts against production orders.
- Return finished parts to inventory, scan production tickets into the ERP system, and advance parts to the next stage of assembly or production.
- 6 months of similar experience.
- Ability to communicate discrepancies to team leader and solve problems.
- Ability to follow instructions and comply with all safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, dependability, and persistence.
- Ability to visually examine finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Experience in production, plating, dipping, racking, and un-racking.

Job Description
The Racker / Un-Racker will be working in the plating department, utilizing various chemical solutions to achieve desired colors or finishes on metal parts. This role involves racking or wiring parts, dipping them in chemical baths and rinse tanks, drying parts with forced air, and cleaning or waxing the finished product. Additional tasks include processing living finishes using burnishing machines, electro-stripping to expose underlying bright nickel finishes, peeling or unwrapping parts for further finishing, and returning finished parts to inventory using bar code scanners and personal computers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
