- Receive, check, and process new materials as directed
- Prepare bulletin boards, displays, and interest centers
- Prepare and present story times at the elementary level as directed by media specialist
- Assist the librarian/media specialist with skills, classes, or groups as appropriate
- Assist teachers and pupils in the proper use and handling of equipment, including technology
- Prepare books for the bindery
- Perform other tasks when asked to do so by the librarian/media specialist, principal, or library coordinator

The role of the library clerk is to assist the Librarian Media Specialist in encouraging and facilitating student success through the use of the library and its resources. The library clerk shall assist the librarian in the overall maintenance, documentation, and record keeping of the library material property. The library clerk will assist the Library Media Specialist to ensure the library/media center is involved in instructional programs of the campus and will assist campus principals and teachers in integration and use of instructional technology.Qualifications:
