    • Ensures Federal/State Timelines are met with respect to evaluations, reevaluations and functions of ARD Committees.
    • Is knowledgeable and complies with commissioner’s rules as it relates to Special Education.
    • Ensures compliance activities deadlines are met with respect to all Special Education compliance areas such as SPP indicators, MOE, Student Performance Accountability, SHARS, Operating Procedures, PEIMS Snapshot submissions, and all other required Special Education compliance submissions.
    • Ensures compliance with Federal & State law, SBOE and local Board policy in area of Special Education.
    • Provide ongoing professional development to Special Education staff including related services staff in areas of compliance.
    • Uses Student Management Systems to prepare reports as requested.
    • Stays informed of current Federal, State, District and school rules, regulations and policies and researches in the field of Special Education compliance.
    • Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or others.
    • Performs other duties as requested by the Executive Director for Special Education

      PRIMARY PURPOSE:
      Responsible for all compliance documents and submissions required in serving students with special needs. Generates and facilitates all district's Special Education reports and data collection processes under the supervision of the Executive Director for Special Education.


      QUALIFICATIONS:
      Education/Certification:
      1. Masters Degree in Special Education or related field
      2. Certification in Special Education or related field preferred
      Special Knowledge/Skills:
      1. Strong verbal and written communication skills
      2. Knowledge of Special Education Compliance
      3. Strong interpersonal skills
      4. Self-directed

      MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
