      If you are seeking an exciting opportunity to live in various locations across the country while developing as a strong finance business partner, then the Operations Finance Rotational Program (OFRP) is the perfect fit for you. The OFRP is an intensive two-year, entry-level undergraduate rotational program spanning four 6-month assignments in preparation for leadership roles in finance. As a participant in this program, you will be required to relocate multiple times throughout Canada. This program is not exclusively based in Toronto. Location placements are determined approximately 60 days prior to the start date. You will be placed in a location based on business need and receive support to relocate to that location. Please be aware that this is not a virtual role, as on-site collaboration and partnership are crucial to the success of our participants.

As an operations finance partner, you play an integral part in ensuring smiles are delivered to customers every time they order on Amazon.com. You will be exposed to cutting-edge technology, automation, transportation, and a fast-paced work environment that helps redefine the distribution network every year.       Participants are placed in locations throughout Canada on finance teams that support an aspect of customer fulfillment. The program provides you with a foundation of operational knowledge and financial, business, leadership and technical skills through various development opportunities and challenging roles. All participants begin the program placed at a Fulfillment Center (FC), or an Amazon warehouse, for the unique opportunity to learn operations first hand. The time spent in a field role is essential to becoming a strong business partner within operations finance. OFRP offers the opportunity for accelerated career growth, diverse experiences within operations, and provides exposure to business leaders. After successful completion of this rotational program, participants are expected to step into financial leadership positions supporting one of Amazon’s dynamic business units.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Partnering with operational leadership and frontline associates to identify, develop, and enact process improvements within the supply chain process.
      • Participating in daily and weekly planning discussions with senior leadership.
      • Maintaining and improving financial reporting to support and challenge business decisions.
      • Conducting financial analysis to help identify capital investment requirements and/or cost reduction opportunities.
      • Designing and maintaining insightful reporting to drive action of business partners using Excel/VBA/SQL.
      • Analyzing operational metrics, conducting root cause analysis, and communicating financial impact across Finance, Operations and other support departments.
      • Exposure to both variable and fixed budgeting and reconciliation on a weekly, monthly, and yearly level, upwards of $250MM.

Expected degree conferral should be between December 2023 and June 2024.
      • Willingness to relocate multiple times throughout the Canada during the two-year program is required.
      • Full-time recruitment will occur during September 2024 - November 2024.
      • This position will start Monday, August 5, 2024. Start date is not flexible.
      • We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
      • Remote or virtual work options are not available for this role, and all work must be conducted in-person.

      We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

      Toronto, ON, CAN- Are 18 years of age or older
      - Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in finance, economics, accounting, industrial engineering, supply chain management, operations and information systems, business administration and management, or related field with a graduation conferral date between December 2023 – June 2024- Experience with SQL
      - Work, internship, or other leadership experience in a professional environment.
      - Desire and ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment.
      - Fluency in Excel; experience in SQL, VBA, PowerBI and other data visualization software a plus.
      - Strong academic, leadership, and/or extracurricular record.
      - Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication with a keen focus on delivering business results.
      - Demonstrated track record in using data and metrics to make decisions and build scalable solutions.
      - Ability to influence across all levels of an organization.
      - Ability to act strategically and make decisions under ambiguity.
      - Strong organizational and time management skills.
