      2024 Asset Management Internship

Solving complex issues in the financial industry requires a team of remarkable individuals who dream big and achieve goals with teamwork, integrity, and excellence. We hire bright self-starters, provide them the tools to succeed, and give them the freedom to excel.

Start your career at Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) and learn firsthand about our services, culture, and the financial services industry – while growing personally and professionally. We value our internship programs as they help us identify our future hires and leaders.

An internship with one of our Asset Management teams provides insight to what sets us apart from others in the industry. Our unique investment approach and competitive results are why our clients work with us. We focus on protecting and growing our clients’ capital over meaningful periods of time by targeting scalable equity and fixed investment strategies where our philosophy, approach, and talent can lead to differentiated results. We offer our strategies through a limited number of channels to clients who understand and value our approach.

The Asset Management areas at BBH are comprised of the following teams:

      Fixed Income Research & Trading

Offering select taxable, tax-exempt, and inflation-indexed strategies where we seek to deliver excellent long-term results. Our value proposition is to grow and preserve our client’s capital by opportunistically managing credit exposure, and by investing in a limited number of durable credits when they are available at attractive yields.

      Investment Research Group (IRG)

IRG is responsible for asset allocation, manager selection, and investment decisions across Private Banking’s client portfolio. We take a long-term, quality-oriented approach to investing and seek to partner with like-minded managers for the long term who align with our investment principles. In order to be considered, managers must share our belief that performing deep due diligence is key to understanding what they own and why. We leverage our extensive experience as we actively scour the investment universe and conduct due diligence, particularly in high-priority areas, to find those select few that meet our high bar for inclusion in our portfolios.

What can you expect from an Internship with BBH?

      • Ongoing training and guidance that enables you to make an impact

      • Exposure to building financial models and performing valuation analyses and participating in the due diligence research process
