      The Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries group focuses on clients with revenue of more than $500 million that require traditional financing and payment services as well as investment banking products. CCBSI is organized into four regional groups (Northeast, Midwest, South, and West) and four industry segments (Healthcare, Entertainment, Technology, and Financial Institutions).

      Risk Management helps the firm understand, approve, manage, and anticipate risks in a constantly changing environment. In addition to determining the credit worthiness of prospective borrowers, the work covers areas such as general corporate financial analysis and monitoring, evaluating country-specific risks and understanding regulatory changes.

      Job Description

      Commercial Banking Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries Risk Analyst Program

      The Credit Risk Analyst will be exposed to credit and risk management activities, as well as various corporate and investment banking products. Throughout your experience you will hone your corporate finance and credit underwriting skills to build your career in the financial services industry. You will utilize your superior analytical skills, combined with credit and industry knowledge, to make and support credit decisions for a portfolio of clients. You will collaborate across credit risk and the business teams to meet client credit requests, while balancing the risk-return needs of the firm. You constantly monitor your portfolio to accurately assign risk ratings to clients and facilities, while ensuring a robust culture of compliance is adhered to at all times.

      Responsibilities of an Analyst

      As a Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries Credit Risk Analyst, you will:

      • Identify the key risk factors associated with clients, transactions, and industry sub-sectors and help a deal team seek approval for lending and trading related transactions, individually or as part of a deal team
      • Create written credit approval documents, which include the spreading and presentation of historical financial statement information and the related financial analysis
      • Use financial models to develop a forward-looking credit risk assessment based on key value drivers and sensitized assumptions
      • Develop and articulate a dynamic, forward-looking risk assessment of client companies, transactions, competitive threats, and industry and other factors
      • Manage and monitor a portfolio of client credit exposures on an ongoing basis
      • Take ownership of client credit needs and projects and independently develops a credit opinion
      • Remain current on all aspects of the credit relationship, including exposure, compliance, potential problems and opportunities
      • Review and assign risk ratings and maintains updated credit research on your portfolio of clients
      • Participate in credit due diligence process for clients, including for capital markets transactions
      • Help drive and support innovation and continuous efficiency improvements

      Qualifications:

      We are looking for individuals who have an interest in commercial banking and enjoy working with people, building relationships, paying attention to detail, and providing best-in-class customer experience. You’ll also have:

      • Bachelors or Masters Degree (Business, Finance & Accounting preferred; all majors considered)
      • Graduation Date: December 2023 - June 2024
      • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale is preferred
      • Superior analytical, and leadership skills
      • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Academic training in the principals of accounting, finance, and macro economics
      • Proficiency working with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications
