- Performs clerical duties such as taking memos, organizing documents, maintaining files, photocopying, faxing, etc. as needed
- Assists in preparing information and research materials, including Powerpoint presentations.
- Takes notes during meetings and provides to team members.
- Researches and gathers documentation as directed by colleagues.
- Attends company functions, including trainings programs, speaker series, lunch-and-learns and social networking events that provide opportunities for career growth and personal development.
- Shadows multiple office jobs and trains in a variety of tasks.

- Asset Management - Support team in the oversight of financial, operational, leasing and capital matters for a retail portfolio including urban assets, regional malls and open-air centers
- Acquisitions/Transactions - Support team in evaluating investments and investment returns based on discounted cash flows, return on cost, development spreads and third-party leverage.
- Debt - Provide analytic support and loan underwriting to senior commercial mortgage professionals, including discounted cash flows, financial and credit analyses of properties, locations, markets, borrowers and other due diligence.
- Research - Perform ongoing market and property-specific research.
- Product - Research and analysis of industry trends, competitors and product characteristics to support product development activities
- Preparing detailed product presentations, proposals and recommendations
- Asset Management - Support team in the oversight of financial and capital matters for listing real assets, timberland, infrastructure, farmland, commodities, and agribusiness.
- Assist with the preparation of underwriting and investment committee memos
- Prepare an analysis of market research for assets under review.
- Communicate with external parties to coordinate due diligence activities and assist with the management of workflow
- Participate on monthly asset management reviews and prepare performance trend reports
- Provide updates to the sustainability team on initiatives across the portfolio
- Assist with maintaining the pipeline and reports associated with real asset investments
- Participate and report on periodic meetings, quarterly conference calls and other investor meetings as necessary;
- Support corporate strategy and product development initiatives;
- Prepare specialized analysis and respond to both internal and external ad-hoc requests as needed.
- Full-time student, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree
- Graduation date between Winter 2024 and Spring 2026
- Minimum Overall GPA of 3.0 or better
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in related fields including Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, Communications, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Mathematics, Risk Management, Statistics or similar degree programs
- Internship experience is a plus
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving/analytical skills
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and deliver on commitments
- Previous internship or work experience a plus
- Demonstrated interest within the investment management industry is preferred
- Independent and original thinker
- Self-discipline and self-motivation
- Strong level of integrity with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Minimum of 2 years of working knowledge or academic experience in using Microsoft Office products or similar products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Intern
The Intern gains experience and an overall feel for the company and the financial services industry by attending meetings, delivering presentations, exploring business-specific tasks, and working closely with cross-functional groups to better understand the organization. Over the 10-week summer internship program, this job participates in a robust training and onboarding program followed by an ongoing speaker series, lunch-and-learns, and cohort engagement activities. This job may have the opportunity to work in the follow business areas: Technology, Asset Management, Financial Analysis/Accounting, Audit, Risk and Compliance, Human Resources and Advice and Client Relationships.

POSITION SUMMARY:The 10-week summer internship program is designed to challenge students by providing opportunities to provide hands-on experiences, skills training, and valuable professional networking to assist students with identifying and building on their career interests. This role gains experience and an overall feel for the company and the financial services industry by attending meetings, delivering presentations, exploring business-specific tasks, and working closely with cross-functional groups to better understand the Nuveen businesses.
The program includes a robust training and onboarding program followed by our ongoing speaker series, lunch-and-learns, and cohort engagement activities, as well as direct access to executive and senior leadership, mentors, and previous interns.
