Job Description

- Work directly with key staff into developing and refining health and safety policy documents.
- Research and analyze health and safety codes and regulations as applicable to specific policy documents.
- Develop draft reporting and report out to key EHS stakeholders.
- Modify and refine existing policy documents to ensure standardization of document platforms.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residency
- Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing in a 2 or 4-year degree program
- Ability to work 40 hours week throughout the duration of the approximately 10 - week internship program.
- Solid Microsoft Office skills
- Strong communication and collaboration
- Ability to conduct research and analytics
- Background in Environmental Health and Safety is preferred

GROUP/DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
12th District Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is responsible for the planning, administration, and management of the EHS and Occupational Injury Prevention Program bank wide. Our group monitors compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations and standards concerning environmental health and safety, as well as any Federal Reserve System or specific health related district standards and guidelines. Additionally, we liaison with all areas within the Bank to ensure compliance, training, and other needs are met to provide a safe environment for all staff, tenants, and visitors.
POSITION/PROJECT OVERVIEW
The selected intern will be working directly with our EHS staff and safety committees to refine and develop important EHS program policy and procedure. This will require effective communication and collaboration skills, as well as solid Microsoft Word skills. This opportunity will provide an exciting challenge and a chance to develop policy documents that will help shape our safety culture at the Federal Reserve Bank for years to come.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Hourly Range: Min: $22.00 - Mid: $24.00 - Max: $28.00 (Location: San Francisco)
Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
