      Job Description

In the UK, the Informa Graduate Fellowship Scheme is a dedicated two-year programme that sees graduate fellows work across different businesses and roles, following individual interests and learning fast.

If you enjoy putting your hand up and getting stuck in, and want to carve your own path as part of a great community and collaborative teams, then Informa’s Graduate Fellowship Scheme could be for you.

Our Graduate Fellow groups are small and highly personal. You’ll be an important part of the Informa team from day one, with the chance to steer your career, discover roles you never knew existed and take full advantage of the opportunities available in a varied, international company.

What you can look forward to

Our two-year rotational Fellowship Scheme programme includes:

      • Three six-month placements in the UK, each in a different business and role, with the chance to explore areas that match your interests
      • The opportunity to spend six months in a placement in one of our hubs outside of the UK
      • A dedicated welcome and immersion programme, including introductions and exposure to senior leaders
      • A personal mentor from Informa’s management teams, plus a buddy from within the graduate scheme
      • Ongoing support from the Graduate Programme Manager
      • Full eligibility for Informa's UK benefits, which include 25 days’ holiday, rising to 27 after two years plus a birthday vacation day, paid time off for volunteering with a recognised charity of your choice , discounted share scheme, health and wellbeing benefits and flexible working
      • Support finding a permanent role within Informa after completing the scheme
      • A vibrant and supportive graduate fellow community and network

Life on the Graduate Fellowship Scheme

After a week’s welcome and immersion programme you’ll begin your first placement, joining a team and starting work on live projects straight away.

Our graduate fellows have a large amount of freedom to carve out their own career path, and have worked as digital marketing associates, treasury analysts, content specialists and sustainability managers, to name just a few, and across areas as diverse as data analytics, event operations, editorial production, and digital product management. You’ll have autonomy over your own placement choices and will enjoy the chance to try your hand at a range of functions and areas of the business, helping you to develop and realise your unique strengths and skills.

Graduate Fellows report into their placement manager as well as the Graduate Programme Manager.

The scheme balances on-the-job learning and the chance to take ownership and responsibility from day one with the support and structure of an established programme and community.

      International Rotation

After three placements in the UK, Graduate Fellows have the opportunity to complete a six-month placement in an Informa office outside of the UK.

It’s a chance to jump into different cultures and ways of working and bring new perspectives and fresh ideas into your next role.

From Dubai to New York, Toronto to Amsterdam and Singapore to Hong Kong, our Graduate Fellows have made connections and discovered new experiences, with support from the graduate community and programme along the way.

Where the role will take you

Informa’s Graduate Fellowship Scheme offers the chance to explore different roles, make connections and learn through training as well as through working on live projects.

There are countless opportunities to succeed, and many of our graduates have continued their career at Informa and moved into permanent roles after completing the scheme.

The scheme manager, your graduate community and networks built along the way will be there to support you.

      Qualifications

      Who we look for

At Informa, everyone works to a common set of guiding principles and these qualities are also what we look for in graduate candidates. You can learn more about those principles here.

We're open to graduates from all backgrounds and areas of study, who have achieved or are on course to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent. Previous work experience in any setting is valuable but not required.

Beyond that, we’ll also be interested to hear more about:

      • How you have developed different strengths and skills through education and work
      • Your curiosity to learn
      • Your experience of using digital tools and emerging technologies
      • How you approach analysing situations and solving problems
      • How you communicate to others and present ideas and findings, verbally, in person and in writing
      • How you work in teams to achieve shared goals

Just as no two days are the same, at Informa Global Support we recognise that no two people are the same, putting diversity and inclusivity at the heart of what we do. This doesn’t happen by chance. We actively work to create a shared culture. It’s a place where individuals bring their own experience and insights to discover new opportunities and build a varied career. We want you to thrive as part of a fantastic community. We champion you.

We know that sometimes the 'perfect candidate' doesn't exist, and that people can be put off applying for a job if they don't fit all the requirements. If you're excited about working for us and have most of the skills or experience we're looking for, please go ahead and apply. You could be just what we need! Application Process

      ** Deadline for applications Sunday 7th January 2024 **

Please note, to be considered for this role you must include a covering letter in support of your application (of no more than one page) detailing why you are interested in working for Informa, and what sets you apart as a strong applicant for our Graduate Fellowship.

We will review this letter (along with your CV) to assess your written communication skills and it also helps us to understand more about you. Please share your motivation in applying for the role, your background, the achievements of which you are particularly proud, and use the letter as an opportunity to showcase and bring to life your unique skills, career aspirations, interests, or work experience.

Everyone who is shortlisted will be invited to take part in a video assessment in January. This is recorded in your own time and helps us get to know you better, gives you a chance to share your interests and share what appeals to you about Informa and our graduate scheme(s).

If your video catches our eye, we will invite you to take part in our virtual interactive assessments in February. This is a chance to learn more about Informa, and it’s an opportunity to demonstrate your strengths and style of working by taking part in our tasks.

The final assessments will take place in early March, in one of our London offices. It’s a chance of us to meet up in person. You will undertake a group task, interview with our senior leaders, and have the chance to really showcase your skills.

We’ll dive deeper into your strengths and attributes by talking through examples of previous experiences. There will also be the chance to ask questions on any topic.

Offers are made to successful applicants, including full details of scheme benefits and confirmed start dates.

Everyone who has taken part in final stage interviews will also receive individual feedback.

We are pleased to share that all shortlisted applicants for the Graduate Fellowship Scheme will also be automatically considered for an exciting additional opportunity, Informa Tech’s Audience Development Graduate Programme. More information on this additional scheme will be shared with all shortlisted applicants. More information about careers in Informa Tech can be found on https://www.informatech.com/careers/
