WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT

Marsh’s Graduate Trainee program is a two-year training program designed to develop high-potential graduates and accelerate their careers through formal training, structured projects and hands-on experience in multiple aspects of our business: client management, client advisory and placement.

Upon completion of the program, Graduate Trainees move into roles across the firm which focus on continued career development and growth.

Throughout the program, your day-to-day tasks will include, but will not be limited to:

• Evaluating quotes and comparing coverage offerings for our clients.

• Negotiating terms and coverages with underwriters.

• Creating and expanding benchmarking reports.

• Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and global insurance markets.

• Preparing presentations for client and or prospect/meetings.

• Developing and presenting internal and external renewal strategy documents.

• Working closely with senior management on high-level projects.

• Building a network of colleagues at all levels of the organization.

• Collaborating with peer and/or senior-level mentor.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

• Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or any related field between December 2023 and June 2024.

• Demonstrated leadership or initiative through school, community and/or work.

• Applicants must have legal work authorization in Canada on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

• Bilingualism (French and English) for Montreal candidates.

• Working knowledge of Excel and others MS-Office software programs.

• Strong interpersonal skills enabling positive interactions with employees, management and clients.

• Proven strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment.

• Unique ability for resourcefulness.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to change and a willingness to question the status quo in order to improve the work environment.
