      ABOUT HOLLYWOOD PARK

      Hollywood Park, a near 300-acre sports and entertainment destination, is being developed by Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke with the 70,000-seat SoFi Stadium as its centerpiece. Hollywood Park is the largest urban mixed-use mega development under construction in the Western United States. When complete, Hollywood Park will have up to 2,500 residences, a hotel, a retail district reaching up to 890,000 square feet, up to 5 million square feet of office space, and more than 25-acres of public parks and open space.

      Home to the Los Angeles Chargers and Super Bowl LVI Champion Los Angeles Rams, SoFi Stadium is the host of world-renowned sporting events, including Super Bowl LVI in 2022, College Football Playoff National Championship game 2023, WrestleMania 2023, World Cup 2026, and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics in 2028. Adjacent to the stadium and under the same roof canopy is a 2.5-acre open-air plaza, American Airlines Plaza, and the 6,000-seat YouTube Theater. YouTube Theater is an intimate venue, making it the perfect place for concerts, comedy, awards shows, esports competitions, community gatherings, conferences and more.

      THE INTERNSHIP

      At Hollywood Park, our primary objective for this internship program is to foster emerging talent while developing future leaders of the sports and entertainment industry. This is a paid opportunity for undergraduate juniors, seniors, and recent graduates who share our passion for creating extraordinary experiences. Interns will work with specific departments at our offices in Inglewood, CA and immerse themselves in a behind-the-scenes experience. By participating in this program, individuals will gain knowledge of the business, establish meaningful connections, and explore exciting career opportunities.

      Hollywood Park is in search of a highly motivated, organized, and enthusiastic individual who is interested in working within the heart of the sports and entertainment industry. As a HR Intern , you can expect to learn about the recruitment process, participate in job fairs, assist with employee engagement initiatives as well as gain valuable, real-world experience in the sports and entertainment industry. Interns will gain firsthand experience in areas such as recruitment, employee engagement, and project management.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Participate in the recruitment process from reviewing job descriptions and postings to scheduling interviews with potential candidates and attending part-time team member hiring fairs.
      • Organize new hire orientations by communicating with hiring managers, requesting all necessary equipment, scheduling logistics, and hosting presentations to ensure a positive onboarding experience for new team members.
      • Assist with the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives such as ERG (employee resource groups) activations, cultural events (Pride Month, Juneteenth, Hispanic Heritage Month, etc.), and team-building activities.
      • Play a key role in special projects, providing essential administrative assistance to the HR team. Contribute to ongoing initiatives, conduct research on best practices, and present findings.

      LEARNING OBJECTIVES

      • Acquire hands-on experience in the end-to-end recruitment process including incorporating onboarding best practices, tracking the progress of candidates throughout the recruitment pipeline, and gaining insight into the decision-making process of candidate selection.
      • Develop strong organizational skills by actively contributing to the coordination of new hire orientations, ensuring smooth onboarding processes for all team members.
      • Enhance interpersonal and communication skills through involvement in employee engagement initiatives. Build strong connections within the organization by fostering a positive culture.
      • Hone project management skills by contributing to HR projects and initiatives. Conduct research on industry best practices, analyze data, and present findings.

      HOURS & DURATION

      • Part-time (20 to 25 hours per week); must be available to work at events, many of which occur on weekends and evenings, as directed by their immediate supervisors
      • Term: June 25 to December 17, 2024

      WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM PEOPLE WHO…

      • Currently enrolled in a college or university program as a junior, senior, or recently graduated
      • Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or similar area of study
      • Must be able to travel to the YouTube Theater and SoFi Stadium offices in Inglewood, CA at least 2-3 times per week
      • Candidates with the following skill sets will be given special considerations:
        • Proficiency with Google Workspace
        • Ability to work in a fast-paced flexible environment
        • Desire to grow in the HR field

      Salary Range: $19-$20/hour

      In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Hollywood Park considers a candidate’s education, certification, prior experience, as well as internal and external data when determining the salary level for potential new employees. Only in exceptional circumstances, if an external candidate has the experience, credentials, or expertise far exceeding what is expected for the position, would Hollywood Park consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
