  Overview

  Summary : Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, Texas, Inc. is offering summer internships for college students majoring in Life Sciences, Business, or Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering disciplines, with positions open in Process Development, Quality Assurance, Environmental Health & Safety, Validation, Manufacturing Technology & Support, IT, Business, and Manufacturing. The successful candidates will have completed their sophomore year or higher. We offer a supportive, collaborative teaching environment to develop our Interns' skills and identify their career goals. This is a great opportunity to gain invaluable experience working for an industry-leading biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing organization. Under the department manager's supervision, the intern will be assigned a project to complete and present at the end of their internship related to current processes, with the goal of identifying and implementing improvements to increase efficiency. Internships generally run from mid-May to August but may vary. The dates will be determined between the intern, supervisor, and Human Resources.

  Essential Functions (will vary based on departmental need):

  • Data entry as needed.
  • Work with all departments as needed to complete assigned tasks and ask questions for clarity.
  • Comply with GMP documentation requirements, if required.
  • Develop and execute protocols for processes, if requested.
  • Monitor equipment and/or the performance of processes if required.
  • Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures, if requested.
  • All other duties as needed.

  Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to go into labs and/or cleanrooms and dress in appropriate attire if required.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and self-motivation.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Attendance is mandatory.
  • Ability to wear appropriate PPE.

  Qualifications:

  • Full-time Undergraduate who has completed their sophomore year, or Graduate student, preferably in Engineering or Science.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some knowledge of biotech/bio-pharma is preferred.
