The Department of Home Affairs and ABF is inviting motivated students to participate in our National Internship Program where you will have the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge to various tasks across different policy and portfolio matters, providing essential support to our fast-paced and crucial business areas. This paid, 8 month program commences in July 2024.
As a non-ongoing APS3 employee, you'll enjoy flexible hours that work around your study commitments and on-the-job training that will prepare you for future opportunities within the Department.
Who you are:
You're in your Penultimate/Final year, an Australian citizen, and ready to pass an Australian Government security clearance process. We seek candidates with academic excellence, a passion for public service, and a commitment to integrity. Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).

The Department of Home Affairs offers an attractive remuneration package, including salary, superannuation benefits and flexible working conditions appropriate to the level of the position.
