      About Our Program:

      Each summer, we select the best and brightest to look under the hood of the world’s largest retailer at our Walmart Home Offices across multiple locations. During the 11-week program, our interns work directly with teams who are changing the way the world shops. This is the beginning of what could be an exciting career with Walmart!

      Roles & Responsibilities:

      Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

      Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

      Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

      Program Estimation: Requires knowledge of Program Estimation tools and techniques; Risk Assessment and Mitigation tools and techniques. To assess and identify the resources required for successful completion of the project of small to medium complexity. Identify potential risks for successful completion of the project.

      Program Definition: Requires knowledge of: Program Management techniques, tools and frameworks; Benefits analysis; Program Planning tools and techniques. To define goals, deliverables and schedules for managing small to medium complexity projects in line with the overall strategic objectives. Create accountability matrix for the project under guidance.

      Business Operations: Requires knowledge of: Organization KPIs; Assessment techniques. To understand the business priorities of internal Functions/teams. Describe profitability drivers and considerations. Describe desired or actual business results in measurable scales or terms. Explain how the organization makes money.

      Technology Landscape Awareness: Requires knowledge of: Understanding of technology strategy and its linkages to domain; Basic understanding of existing and upcoming systems, technologies and trends; Product technical information; Basic understanding of domain specific market standards; Basic understanding of methodologies and tools, processes, checkpoints. To develop business cases and recommendations for technology vertical. Own delivery of project activity and tasks assigned by others. Manage technology related process updates and changes. Demonstrate functional knowledge of the specific business unit/domain.

      Program Monitoring and Control: Requires knowledge of: Program Monitoring and Control tools and processes; Internal and External program Reporting and logging tools and processes To monitor and evaluate the progress of the project against approved milestones and timelines. Lead cross-functional and/or pillar coordination meetings, under guidance to review schedule progress, health, issues/risks, and key dependencies. Provide recommendations to bring program health on track in case of adversity.

      Office Environment: Corporate

      U.S. Tech Hub Locations: Bentonville, AR and Sunnyvale, CA

      *Location availability is limited based on job profile and business needs.

      Desired Majors: Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program currently

      • Expected graduation date between December 2024 – August 2025

      • 0-1 years of full-time relevant experience (excludes internships and research-based roles)
