Responsibilities H Barritt Peterson & Associates, staff counsel for State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company in Towson, MD, is hiring a rising 3L Summer Law Intern (Class of 2025) for their 2024 Summer Intern Program. Our internship program strives to provide a balanced and realistic representation of the function of Claims Litigation Counsel, as well as real-world exposure to a multitude of legal services being provided. The selected individual will have exposure to litigation and trial practice along with the opportunity to work one-on-one with attorneys on assigned projects, observe various stages of litigation, and will have a designated mentor throughout the internship. The internship has a full-time schedule in the summer beginning Monday, May 20, 2024, through Friday, August 2, 2024, with the potential to transition to a part-time schedule during the 2024/2025 school year. The Summer internship will be a hybrid (combination of in-office and remote) opportunity and is a paid internship at $30/hour. The intern selected for the position will also receive a $2000 internship stipend. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organization skills, an energetic/positive attitude, legal research knowledge, and the ability to work well under deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
