- Training and application of RTX tools including CREO, PDM and PRISM
- Documentation support utilizing engineering tools, Adobe, and MS office suite.
- Utilize proven problem solving skills
- Collaboration with engineering to resolve design issues preventing build efforts
- Supporting the production team with all material, project and production tasking related to build efforts in the lab
- (Sophomore Technical) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
- (Junior Technical) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
- (Senior Technical) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
- (Post-Graduate Technical) must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications. You Must Have) by start of internship
- Must be Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post Graduae by the start of summer 2024 in Mechanical, Manufacturing or related field
- Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. - 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
- Engineering Project or Internship experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Microsoft Office or other presentation tools
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse communities and cultures
- Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
- Hybrid : Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
- Remote : Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

Job Summary:
The Rapid Hardware Solutions (RHS) department, located in Mechanical Engineering, is comprised of cooling systems and trainers design, materials management, environmental test capability and production of Engineering Hardware, Support Equipment and Liquid Cooling Systems. This team is unique and encompasses a wide array of skillsets including engineering, project management, material procurement and management, manufacturing engineering and test engineering.
This is an internship position with the Rapid Hardware Solutions Department. The candidate will be on-site to support the lab with tasking associated with our build efforts. This will include assisting with project execution, expediting material, answering questions on the shop floor, interacting with engineering to resolve issues, dispositioning held up material, reviewing kitted material, and any other actions needed by the team to help move product through the build process in a quick and efficient manner.
Key requirements for this position include proven problem solving skills and interest in engineering hardware build. Engineers will be exposed to the manufacturing process and gain a better understanding of what makes a good design. Engineers will be expected to interact with union technicians, project leads and engineers in resolving issues quickly to ensure product is completed to meet aggressive program schedules.
