  Position Overview:

  REsurety is looking for a motivated individual with exceptional research and data analysis skills who wants to be part of the cleantech revolution. As an Intern on the Research and Analytics team, you will support research into power markets and renewable energy, analyze project data, and assist in product delivery. This internship will ultimately help develop tools enabling a more accurate valuation of clean energy projects and their impact on emissions.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Key responsibilities could include some or all of the following:
    • Analyze and understand the electricity market, meteorological, and wind & solar power plant data
    • Run models simulating wind and solar energy generation
    • Plan and execute data analysis to identify and evaluate key differences between modeling frameworks
    • Create data visualizations to convey results
    • Assist with updating and maintaining REsurety’s extensive database of operational wind and solar projects
    • Execute quality control checks of data critical to business processes

  Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Major in physics, math, meteorology, environmental science, or a related field (community college students are encouraged to apply)
  • Strong data visualization skills
  • Basic coding skills (preferred: Python, R)
  • Strong research and communication skills
  • Self-motivated & detail-oriented: capable of executing complex analyses with little oversight
  • Interest in increasing the adoption of clean energy

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with meteorological or power market data
  • Basic understanding of renewable energy and power markets
  • Basic statistics knowledge

  Details:

  • Location: Boston, MA
  • Commitment: Up to 40 hours/week for 10 weeks
  • Our organization works on a hybrid model. We are in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at our downtown Boston building, remote optional on Wednesdays and Fridays.
