Cumulative GPA of 2.75
Currently enrolled and pursuing a 4-year degree as a rising senior or graduate student in Psychology, Communications, Marketing, Cognitive Science, Innovation, Entrepreneurship or Design
Valid driver’s license
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Exposure to or familiarity with areas such as; product management, change management, marketing/communications or design thinking
Leadership potential or skills displayed through extracurricular activities (e.g., sports, community service, clubs, and academic organizations)
Willingness to take on a variety of different tasks
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Previous software, change, design, product internship or business experience
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Self-driven, motivated, and proactive
Hybrid - Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to a Duke Energy facility.

This unique opportunity is part of the innovation center at the country’s largest electric power holding company. Your experience will help you grow for your future academic work and career. The organization has a limited number of summer internships in the Digital Transformation division which employs digital and innovation capabilities to transform company operations. In this role you will be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, energetic, and high performing team. The ideal candidate is one with a growth mindset – motivated to dream big, take risks, learn, and continually evolve. As a participant in this program, you will be part of a team tackling complex and compelling business and technical challenges. You will gain familiarity with the organization and the company’s business operations, as well as grow new skills, by networking with other Interns, shadowing roles, partnering to complete deliverables, and interacting with more senior level employees.
The chosen candidate for this position will gain on-the-job experience in the areas of change management, innovation, product development, and communications.
