      2023-12514 Software Development Intern - Microservices, Hybrid

      Are you a student who is passionate about learning the latest technologies? We are searching for motivated individuals who will work together in a small group dedicated to developing delivery pipelines. You will be tasked with expanding and enhancing the current automation framework, in addition to creating new automation scenarios. You will have the opportunity to work in an agile environment to deliver mission critical applications using technologies such as PKI, Directory, databases, and RPCs. This group will support the Swift core messaging application teams.


      Some of the technologies that you will learn and work with include:

      • Cloudbees and Jenkins test & deployment pipelines using Groovy and Ansible

The project will involve migrating some of the platforms to use Google protobuf to allow the systems to be platform independent and integrate it with critical services while keeping the core business logic intact.

This project aims to create a proof of concept for an AI-powered code suggester integrated into code editors to provide real-time assistance.

      The role of AI in coding and software development is rapidly expanding. These AI-powered code generators are blazing the trail by providing powerful, intelligent, and intuitive tools to both seasoned developers and newcomers alike. They not only speed up the process of writing code but also make it more accessible to a broader audience, expanding the capabilities of individuals and organizations.

      We have multiple applications that use wide variety of technologies some of which include C++, gRPC, SQL, JAVA, Springboot, Angular. As part of feasibility project, you will be part of the team to evaluate some of the following AI based tools that claim to improve programming experience.

      Assignment : As part of this project, you will:

      • Review code of some of the existing applications and identify code snippets to be enhanced with the tools mentioned above
      • Use appropriate AI tools to generate code for the identified areas
      • Review, validate and benchmark the code generated via the AI tools
      • Calibrate performance of the new generated code
      • Review Automatic bug detection and fixing
      • Use the AI tools to generate code comments and documentation for functions, classes, and variables, ensuring that the codebase is well-documented
      • Leverage AI tools to automatically generate test cases for the code. Verify that the generated test cases cover critical code paths and edge cases

      OASIS Dashboards & Analytics:

      • Build dashboards (API response time, usage patterns, version usage, performance of Batch Logger, overall view of all components, view on errors/events) for GPI Tracker & related applications
      • Build dashboards (view on errors/events) for GPI GUI
      • Build dashboards (API usage across multiple domains, statistics on Data Providers, view on errors/events, API response time) for PreValidation

      Test Automation:

      • Explore usage of Postman to generate & validate GPI Tracker APIs
      • Extend creation of new test scenarios based on the Customer usage/patterns extracted from OASIS

      Benchmarks:

      • Extend the benchmark framework to generate configuration based traffic for GPI Tracker
      • Create a framework (e.g. JMeter) to benchmark PreVal performance

      GPI Diag:

      • GPI diag is a tool to support operations with database related queries. Extend the tool to handle new features

      Job Description:

      To enable “Patching as a service” at Swift to support application teams, we will have a new Portal created to schedule patching the database servers as per the needs of the service teams.

      Are you a student passionate about learning new things, we are equally excited to have an intern joining us this Summer to help us out to design & create a new Web Portal. You will be working closely under the guidance of senior engineers within the squad. As a part of the internship, you will learn CI/CD pipeline as well as gain knowledge in creating Ansible playbooks. You will also participate as a POC to analyze and develop new features as a part our solutions.

      You’ll be:

      • Learning and understanding the oracle database deployment process and CI/CD pipeline.
