We are currently recruiting students to join our Investor Services business within our Innovation team. The Innovation team leads business innovation in service of a shift from our current asset services business model towards new, highly profitable, and sustainable models for our partnership. This requires overseeing a portfolio of business experiments that in combination ultimately reveal the business opportunities with the greatest potential to become the heartbeat of our future products and services over the next 5 to 10 years.

You will be assigned projects in one or more areas that include:

• Innovation Strategy: Contributing to presentations and participating in sessions that promote innovation strategy and learning across the stakeholder community.
• Innovation Operating Model: Refining methodologies, processes and tools required to continuously advance from hypothesis to action across multiple horizons of business experimentation and innovation.
• Partnerships: Identifying and engaging with an ecosystem of external partners who enable and accelerate innovation activities by providing variable leadership and resource capacity across the portfolio.
• Corporate Venture Capital / M&A: Involvement in investment and M&A strategies and key activities that accelerate our innovation portfolio.
• Innovation Governance: Building presentations and reporting for oversight bodies on funding, measuring return on value across the innovation portfolio, etc.
• Innovation Portfolio: Working directly on ideation and/or the furtherance of one or more portfolio ideas through the hypothesis to action process.

You can expect to gain knowledge in one of more of the following areas:

• Leading innovation and design initiatives within an established enterprise
• Financial services industry in general; emphasis on banking, asset management and data servicing
• Technology, including data science
• Interface with venture capital and private equity communities
• Navigating the “ambiguous and messy middle” between strategy and execution; driving creation from “idea-to-MVP”
• Focus on measurable outcomes (human, community, and business; qualitative and quantitative)
• Contributing to a healthy culture and employee engagement as critical business outcomes
• Agile ways of working at the individual, team and organizational levels

What BBH’s Innovation team look for in an intern:

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Comfort experimenting with and applying new technologies
