Job Description
- Req#: JR4587
- Fully commit to the 12-week program for 40 hours/week (no exceptions)
- Enrolled full-time in an accredited BSN or ADN nursing program
- Returning as a full-time senior nursing student in the Fall of 2024
- Graduating with a nursing degree in December 2024 or May 2025
- 3.25 GPA in nursing core courses
- Responsible for your housing arrangements
- Your resume
- Academic transcripts (must include nursing core courses)
- A photocopy of your current American Health Provider BLS Card (exp date)
- A list of objectives you hope to fulfill through the program

2024 Summer Nurse Extern Program

Scottish Rite for Children’s Summer Nurse Extern Program offers a paid opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a pediatric setting while learning performance expectations of an entry-level staff nurse. Externs get the chance to attend educational seminars and in-services along with clinical rotations in select patient care areas.
Scottish Rite for Children is one of the nation’s leading pediatric orthopedic centers. The hospital treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions, including sports injuries and fractures, as well as certain arthritic, neurological and learning disorders, such as dyslexia.
