- The Nurse Intern role is designed to provide a learning opportunity for students by acquiring basic clinical skills and advancing their knowledge related to patient care.
- Performs a variety of delegated basic patient care services under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN).
- Responsible for assisting patients with activities of daily living and for maintaining an environment conducive to the patient's safety.
- Must be currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited registered nursing program.
- Must have successfully completed at least one (1) clinical semester of the core curriculum.
- Must hold an active CPR/BLS – Healthcare Provider card from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
- Full Time (Days) (3 days/week, 12 hour shifts, 72 hrs/per pay period) or Part Time (Days) (2 days/week, 12 hour shifts, 48 hrs/per pay period)
- Note for current TMH Colleagues seeking to participate in the 2024 Summer Nurse Internship - overtime hours will not be approved for the Internship, your current manager must be informed of your participation, and you will not be assigned to your home unit for the Internship experience.

The Annual Summer Nurse Internship experience at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is the right opportunity for you!
We are seeking driven Nursing students to participate in our 8-week Internship program. You will be partnered with a mentor nurse to gain hands-on experience within the Nursing scope of practice.
The Program runs from June 3rd - July 27th, 2024; participants must be able to commit to working up to 3 days a week, 12-hr shifts through the entirety of the program.
The July 4th holiday will be granted, but no full-week absences will be approved.
Orientation is required and will be held the first week of the program.
Participants will be assigned to a Unit based on staffing availability and student area-of-interest.
