      Material Handling Logistics – Transportation Optimization Analyst (TESYS)

      Job Responsibilities:

      • Adhere to and fulfill all employee responsbilities set out in the ArcelorMittal Dofasco Health & Safety Policy/Program and COVID-19 protocols
      • Support the optimization of our TESYS system, which coordinates the movement of materials throughout the plant
      • Participate in development and implementation of the GPS reporting and optimization functions within the intra-plant transportation management system
      • Develop strategies and system enhancements in a team environment
      • Perform daily monitoring of transportation processes and propose solutions for improvement
      • Manage, analyze and provide solutions to data storage and retrieval problems to drive efficiencies in the transportation process
      • Support department goals and objectives
      • Work in an office environment with some plant exposure
      • Must be available to work full time from May 2024 to end of August 2024

      Education & Experience:

      • Currently attending university or college full-time and returning to school full-time in September 2024
      • Enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of an Engineering, Math or Computer Sciences program
      • Civil Engineering or Logistics and Supply Chain Management would be an asset
      • Good understanding of geospatial coordinate systems
      • Strong technical background
      • Good communication skills
      • Self-motivated, team player
      • Detail oriented
      • Experience in Excel, VBA and SQL, MSBI environment (SharePoint) is an asset
      • Experience in report and query development

      Hours of work: 8 hour days Monday-Friday. Must be flexible as you may be asked and required to work a 12-hour day shift rotation sometime throughout your term (6:30 AM-6:30 PM with alternate weekends off).
