Our summer internship program begins in June 2024 and ends in August 2024.

      The Originations Finance Intern will be shadowing 3 pillars of originations finance, Data, Forecasts & Revenue. The intern will be responsible for learning how data plays a vital role in finance & operational reporting.

      Roles and Responsibilities

      • Data Retrieval and Transformation : Learn to write SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various databases and sources.
      • Data Analysis : Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
      • Utilize statistical methods to derive insights and present findings through clear and concise reports.
      • Data Modeling: Work with cross-functional teams to assist in the development of the annual budget and forecasts, driving the priorities and strategy for 2025 and beyond
      • Reporting & Analytics: Collaborate to develop reports and/or analytics which help the business unit make informed decisions around resource allocation, growth strategies or investment; and
      • Ad-hoc Projects: prepare various requests to tell the story on performance vs expectations, and/or understand the business implications of proposed decisions

      Basic Qualifications

      • Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university or have graduated within one year of start date (June 2024)
      • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
      • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
      • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and work well in a collaborative environment.
      • Candidates must have authorization to work permanently in the US without the need for sponsorship (Currently, our organization is unable to support candidates that are on OPT, CPT or candidates that will need sponsorship, now or in the future)

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Previous internship or work experience in finance, corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, or a related field
      • Completion of relevant coursework in corporate finance, financial analysis, investment strategies, or related subjects.
      • Strong quantitative skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
      • Interest in the mortgage origination and servicing industry and desire to learn about corporate development strategies and practices.
