      Job Description

      What is the opportunity?

      The opportunity is to be a part of a dynamic team within RBC Royal Bank’s National Office group responsible for Credit Cards, Payments, Loyalty, and Transformation. You will work as part of an experienced team of Product, Business, Risk and Compliance or Program Management experts drawing on your leadership potential to support development of new opportunities and business priorities to drive acquisition and growth in the competitive and innovate payments space where RBC leads with brands such as Avion Rewards, Ion+, RBC Avion Visa, payment innovations and partnerships.

      What will you do?

      Working under the direction of a business, product, compliance, or program leader in one of our teams across Transformation, Payments, Credit Cards, or Loyalty you will:

      • Be aligned with specific projects or business priorities
      • Work and collaborate with colleagues to identify, test and/or implement opportunities to enhance products, processes, and competitiveness.
      • Assist in designing internal controls, monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of regulatory risk management practices
      • Contribute ideas and perspectives to drive to better outcomes
      • Develop relationships and coordinate within and across teams to complete and facility project execution
      • Use various data sources to research, identify opportunities, calculate benefits, and make recommendations
      • Leverage PowerPoint and other tools to effectively communicate recommendations to various stakeholders
      • Utilize Excel to manage data, support reporting and/or identify new opportunities

      What do you need to succeed?

      Must-have

      • Currently enrolled at a post-secondary institution with an interest in Financial Services and Product Management
      • An innovative thinker who is proactive, is well organized with attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
      • Leadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment
      • Strong critical thinking, analytical skills and a passion for solving ambiguous and complex business issues
      • Business knowledge - revenue & cost drivers
      • Strong communication skills, including experience in creating PowerPoint presentations for senior audiences
      • Comfort with ambiguity and highly adaptable
      • Strong collaboration skills, ability to grasp new concepts quickly, and work with cross-functional teams
      • Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
