    • Appropriate licensure/certification through the Ohio State Board of Education or ability to obtain proper licensure. Applicants must meet ONE OF THE FOLLOWING requirements to be considered for this position:
      • Current licensure in CT Family and Consumer Science Education (090120) OR
      • Meets all four criteria below: OR
    • Current licensure in CT Family and Consumer Science Education (090120) OR

    • Holds a bachelor’s degree; AND
    • Holds a valid Ohio Resident Educator, Professional, Permanent or Five-Year Career-Technical teaching license in any field; AND
    • Passes (or has passed) the OAE content-knowledge test for Family Consumer Science (022);
    • If credential not already held, must successfully complete Rise Up Proctor credentialing process prior to the start of the 2025 – 2026 school year;
    • Background in the area of business or a related field preferred;
    • Willingness and ability to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team member;
    • Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
    • History of an effective work record, including good job attendance and performance;
    • Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record/background check as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.

      GENERAL DESCRIPTION
      Interested in helping high school students explore their career options after graduation? Join Butler Tech’s team as a Career Exploration Instructor! Regardless of current teaching field, educators with bachelor’s degrees who hold 5 Year, Permanent, or RE licenses are candidates for this position. Butler Tech will help navigate the exam process to obtain the supplemental license needed to teach this class.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      Based upon experience and education ($51,281 – 106,972)
