  2025 BNY Legal Apprenticeship Program

  We’re seeking future team members for our 2025 BNY Legal Apprenticeship Program with roles located in Manchester in hybrid positions.

  Program highlights:

  Do you have ambitions to be a solicitor? We are also recruiting for solicitor apprenticeships in Manchester that leads to LLB (Hons) Law and Legal Practice qualifications meaning you will be a fully qualified solicitor.

  The training route is six years and we are looking for people with an interest in law, financial and investment management and embracing AI/emerging technology to drive new ways of working and efficiency. As a solicitor apprentice, you will receive on-the-job training working on real projects with clients. You will also undertake law degree studies for 20% of your time for the first four years. In years five and six, you will complete the solicitor’s qualification examination (SQE).

  You will receive time and support to complete your qualifications and all course and exam costs will be covered by BNY. This programme gives you the opportunities you need to expand your skills across multiple areas. And the great thing is, there’s not one single type of person who succeeds here. Whether you’re determined, curious, resilient or open-minded; whoever you are, this programme is a chance for you to start your journey early and develop your legal expertise. You can earn your qualifications without the burden of tuition fees – and open the door to people from all academic and social backgrounds.

  A strong candidate possesses:

  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in the developing skills within financial services
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Aptitude for analytical thinking and problem solving
  • Collaborative skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global working environment

  Program Eligibility

  • Three A levels (minimum A, B, B) or equivalent (predicted or achieved)
  • Must not currently hold a related degree that is connected to the program criteria
  • Must have lived in England for the previous three years
  • Should not require sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future, in the region where they apply
