      Job Summary

      Working within the Enterprise Finance team you will be looking at Data Governance, automation and process improvement opportunities across CFO group. The role will involve working with the CFO business to understand critical data elements and supporting key processes in order to ensure data integrity. You will be supporting CFO Center of Expertise in Data Management and Governance.

      Job Description

      What will you do?

      • Analyze processes, gather requirements, look for solutions to improve and see through the implementation of these solutions

      • Assist in the identification and monitoring of Data Quality and Data Management related issues to ensure Finance CDE’s are being managed appropriately

      • Establish and continuously enhance subject matter expertise in data risk management and governance

      • Interpret data using careful business-grounded logic and analytics techniques to test controls, find exceptions, and discover insights and trends.

      • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline current processes

      • Ensure all Finance data domain issues are identified, logged, managed and escalated as needed to get to a resolution in a timely manner

      What do you need to succeed?

      Must-have

      • A background related to Software Engineering or Computer Science or Business Administration or Industrial Engineering

      • Strong Microsoft Excel quantitative, financial and analytical skills

      • Strong soft skills

      • Strong organizational, written (Email/PowerPoint) and interpersonal communication skills are essential

      • Ability to learn Data Governance and Management tools

      • Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast paced environment

      Nice-to-have

      • VBA knowledge and experience or any other programming language

      • Ability to develop PowerPoint

      • Data Management and Governance domain knowledge

      • Previous experience working in a financial environment

      • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
