- Upon program acceptance, participants will be submitted for a national security clearance.
- Participants may be eligible to receive a $10,000 signing bonus, and an additional $10,000 signing bonus upon converting to full-time employee status post-graduation (payable within 60 days of employment and subject to all applicable withholdings).
- Participants will sign an offer agreement, committing to remain with Raytheon for a minimum of two years after becoming a full-time employee.
- Work as a software developer and integrator as part of a development team which utilizes a diverse dynamic workforce, including many experts in their fields. Specific duties include:
- Responsible for performing development, integration, test and documentation duties to ensure proper operation of hardware and software platforms
- Integrate a wide variety of applications from various sources, integrate and ensure they meet performance standards for stability and resource utilization
- Develop software as necessary to integrate between components, perform new capabilities, to facilitate testing, etc.
- Adhere to accepted standards for development, including writing unit tests which provide a high percentage of code overage, participating in code peer reviews, conducting design reviews, and generating test plans to ensure maximum stability and quality of code
- This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and will be at minimum, entering their (Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post Grad year) by the start of summer 2025.
- Software development experience with Java in a Unix/Linux environment
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and familiarity with a Javascript framework such as AngularJS or VueJS
- Familiarity with version control software such as GIT
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or Maven
- Experience or familiarity with Agile development practices
