      POSITION SUMMARY:
      The Operations Intern is “hosted” by the Operations Department at one of our manufacturing/distribution facilities. This is a 12-week summer internship. Please note that we do not provide housing.

      This Internship begins on May 19, 2025. Interns will report to the Birmingham, AL plant.

      Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and business relationships.

      Qualifications

      Basic Qualifications:

      • Must be at least 18 years of age
      • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future
      • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university at the time of the internship
      • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8
      • Must have at least one (1) year of experience with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and/or Outlook)
      • Must be willing to work up to 40 hours per week, up to 12 weeks.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Supply Chain, Operations, Business Management or related majors
      • Sophomore, junior or senior class standing
      • Previous Internship, Co-op or work experience in a related field
      • Previous experience as a Sherwin-Williams Intern or Co-op
      • Previous internship or co-op experience in the Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain Division
      • Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.

      Responsibilities

      Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Safety Manager with:

      •Maintaining safety and housekeeping programs

      •Directing the safe manufacture of production orders

      •Employee training

      •Ensuring the quality of production orders

      •Special projects as identified by the Operations Manager
