- Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of IT solutions.
- Support IT team with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and document business requirements.
- Participate in the maintenance and upgrade of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and provide recommendations.
- Help in the creation of technical documentation and user guides.
- Perform data analysis and generate reports to support decision-making.
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of software development principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Familiarity with various operating systems like Windows, Linux, and macOS.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Understanding of basic networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, DNS, and network protocols.
- Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud services.
- Organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ability to quickly gain, and effectively apply new skills & knowledge
- Success in collaborating with others of diverse cultures, interpersonal styles, and abilities
- Strong written, and verbal communication skills
- Participate in, and build on our inclusive, constructive, and productive work environment
- Must be enrolled in a full-time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following fields of study: Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics.
- Must have 15 completed semester hours before the start of the internship.
If a transfer student, must have 12 semester hours completed at a 4-year university. - Minimum 3.0/4.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (no rounding) at current institution
- Expected graduation date of August 2025 or later.
- Must be able to relocate at indicated work location for the duration of the internship and complete daily work commute using reliable transportation.
- Demonstrated leadership that requires organizing or working with groups.
- Past experience in project work.
- Relevant internship or work experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills; PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills well-developed.
- Ability to effectively articulate and summarize analytical data for leadership.

About the Role
Information Technology Interns at Caterpillar perform the same challenging work assignments as our new full-time hires. We work with our teams to ensure that every intern gains the appropriate professional and personal growth necessary to be successful in a corporate environment. This position is a great way to gain hands-on experience by supporting IT operations at a world-leading manufacturing company.

Summary Pay Range:
$22.50 - $39.00
*Hourly Rate is based on the major/degree being pursued and the number of completed academic hours achieved prior to the start of the internship.
