      Internship program dates for summer 2025: June 2, 2025 – August 8, 2025 . Full-time internship, Monday – Friday (days). Virtual/remote opportunities for undergraduate students and hybrid for Masters of Healthcare Administration students (must live in commuting distance from Chicago or Milwaukee)!       Advocate Health Care and Aurora Health Care's Workforce Development team sponsors up to 16 undergraduate interns every summer in the areas of Human Resources, Health Information Technology, Finance, Brand, Consumer Experience & Public Affairs and 4 Masters of Healthcare Administration students . Each internship gives exposure to the corporate health care environment, project work, job shadows, department and leadership meetings, mentoring, professional development events and networking opportunities, evaluations and social events.

      What you'll do:

      • Your day-to-day activities will encompass a wide variety of interactions and responsibilities, based on your interests and internship track within the organization.
      • We want to give exposure to students in their areas of interest while providing meaningful work... but part of connecting with your fellow interns and colleagues is having fun! Our internship program is designed to not only expose students to the day-today work of a teammate but to have the opportunity to attend professional development and social networking events throughout the summer.


      What it takes:

      • High School Graduate (or equivalent).
      • Current enrollment at an accredited college or university. Interns are expected to be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate or graduate degree (Post Grad Interns are accepted for Health Care Administration only). Must be entering Junior or Senior year by summer of 2025 or attending or current Masters Student by summer of 2025 to be considered.
      • Grade point average of at least 2.5.
      • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
      • Strong attention to detail.
      • Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.
      • Strong teamwork skills.
      • Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
      • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel.
      • Must demonstrate integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive attitude and enthusiasm.


      Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

      • Each department will develop mental/physical requirements from the job standards and guidelines.
      • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
