About the role Energise your career at Zinfra! We have an exciting opportunity for 2 x Trainee Field Testers to undertake an Advanced Diploma of ESI – Power Systems over a four-year program which will enable you to obtain industry skills and knowledge under the supervision of qualified and experienced professionals, while also attending TAFE to complete your certification. The locations for these traineeships will be based at Broadmeadows (x1) and Glen Waverley (x1). During the program, you will be a valued member of our team and will experience a variety of work environments within the electricity supply industry which will enhance your skills and career development opportunities. Key Responsibilities include * Compile and produce energy sector detailed reports * Fabricate, assemble and dismantle utilities industry components * Solve problems in Direct Current (DC) machines * Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus * Commission and maintain energy / revenue metering schemes * Commission and maintain network protection and control systems * Conduct evaluation of network protection and control system faults * Develop secondary protection and control scheme isolation and restoration documents * Commission and maintain complex energy / revenue metering schemes About You This is an exciting time for our industry and we would love to be able to share this journey with someone who is committed and eager to learn. When you complete the program successfully, you will have completed all competencies for an Advanced Diploma of ESI – Power Systems. To be considered for this role you will have: * Strong mathematical and problem solving / analytical skills * A pre-apprenticeship qualification (Certificate II Electrotechnology) or previous electrical industry exposure will benefit your application but is not essential * Either have a current drivers licence or have obtained a drivers licence by January 2025 * Enthusiasm to learn about and adapt to new equipment that we are regularly introducing into the business * A good positive attitude and a willingness to work as a team will no doubt see you succeed in your new role We are a champion of equal opportunity employment and have committed to targets for gender equity and first nations representation in our workforce.
