      License/Credential or Skills
      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
      -California credential authorizing music instruction at the elementary level
      -EL Certification

      KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
      Knowledge of and ability to implement the subject matter, philosophical, social and educational concepts relative to the duties and responsibilities listed on this job description

      NOTE: ELEMENTARY TEACHERS are expected to teach classroom music (4th grade recorders and/or primary K-3)

      Requirements:
      * Be able to motivate and encourage students
      * Have a positive working relationship with peers and administration
      * Be Flexible
      * Be able to teach students to read, write music notation
      * Produce successful concerts for parents to appreciate their child's development in music
      * Have high expectations for yourself and your students, and know how to reach them
