      TITLE: Assistant Athletic Director TYPE OF POSITION: Full-time (1.0); anticipated start date 7/1/2024; salary commensurate with experience (range $33.00-$36.00/hour; annual equivalent $68,871 - $75,132) LOCATION: Hopkinton Middle & High Schools, Hopkinton, Massachusetts AREA OF CONSIDERATION: All qualified candidates The Assistant Athletic Director works closely with the Athletic Director and other administrators to assist in organizing, supervising, and coordinating the interscholastic athletic program, and helps develop and maintain the athletic program to achieve the proper relationship with the total school program. The Assistant AD works with students, parents, faculty and administrators as part of the Athletic Office team, and promotes athletic activity that fosters skill development, sportsmanship, understanding of sports, and appreciation of being a team member. The Assistant Athletic Director reports to the Athletic Director, and assists the Athletic Director in directing the work of all Athletics staff assigned to the department. QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Athletic Administrator (RAA) certification required, Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) preferred; Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred, from an accredited college or university, in Physical Education, or a related field; Experience using MUNIS and SchoolDude software considered a plus; Teaching experience and experience coaching at the varsity high school level preferred. Experience in athletic administration a plus; Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Athletic Director and/or the Superintendent may find appropriate and in conformity with state and federal law. DUTIES: In conjunction with the Principal(s) and Athletic Director, supervises all extracurricular athletic personnel, trainers, and other related athletic positions; Oversees, Manages, Organizes Middle School Sports Programming including scheduling, game administration, and after school supervision; Handles all transportation and bus scheduling including after hours and weekends; Oversees and Manages the ordering of equipment, uniforms and other items listed in the budget and supervises equipment manager; Ensures compliance with eligibility and other rules, laws, and policies governing athletics, including verifying that all students participating in athletic events are academically eligible, and have been appropriately screened by the trainer for medical verification; Reviews and approves vouchers and payments for athletic event staff and game officials; Other duties, as assigned.
