    • Responsible for the conduct of the (National Defense Corps of Cadets) program
    • Successfully incorporate the Classroom Performance System (CPS)
    • Establish course of instruction as outlined in AFJROTCI 36-2001 and current school year AFJROTC Curriculum Guide
    • Develop, maintain, and use a detailed lesson plan for each class presentation
    • Maintain required Title 10 unit viability/cadet enrollment and unit operation/management
    • Ensure cadets maintain high standards of personal conduct and appearance at all times
    • Ensure each NDCC student participates in the AFJROTC curriculum
    • Coordinate scheduling of NDCC classes with the school to make it as convenient for students to participate in Aerospace Science classes as in other courses
    • Ensure each NDCC student participates in the AFJROTC curriculum as prescribed by the school, state, and the Air Force
    • Ensure the AFJROTC curriculum is credited toward graduation and that credit is equivalent to credit given for similar academic courses
    • Maintain financial accountability in accordance with AFJROTC policy
    • Participate in career improvement efforts such as in-service training, workshops, and advanced educational courses for professional development, as required by AFJROTC, school, state, or federal directives or laws
    • Maintain current Adult (ages 14+) Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications
    • log into WINGS and their AFJROTC.com email at least weekly to ensure they remain current on all announcements, perform all required system updates, and meet all required suspenses

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      REQUIRED:
      • AFJROTC Certification
      • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university
      • Recommended by Director, AFJROTC
      PREFERRED:
      • Valid Texas Teaching Certificate

      Responsibilities:
      Senior Aerospace Science Instructors (SASIs) are accountable to the principal (or designated administrator) of the school and Air Force for the conduct of the program. ASIs (both officers and NCOs) are accountable to the SASI. All instructors must meet Air Force and school requirements and maintain standards acceptable to the Air Force.
