      Description

      Position at JBS USA

      2 nd SHIFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

      Responsibilities:

      • Direct assigned employees in the performance of approved maintenance work
      • Works closely with schedule on all assigned work schedules
      • Advises superiors and other appropriated members of the maintenance department of equipment failure or items requiring maintenance
      • Ensure the production departments receive prompt, efficient, and quality service required to operate at maximum efficiency
      • To assure accurate reporting and distribution of maintenance man hours
      • Reduce production downtime due to mechanical failure or maintenance problems
      • Execution of all maintenance and assigned work in your respective area in the plant
      • Direct the activities of a group of mechanics assigned
      • Accountable for the efficiency and effectiveness of all labor and resources under supervision
      • Effectively oversee the budget while consistently identifying and implementing cost-saving strategies and initiatives
      • Ensure that all aspects of the company safety policy and procedures are adhered to in the direct and indirect areas of the plant
      • Ensure that all aspects of the food safety, HACCP, and government programs are adhered to with emphasis on the continued compliance with these programs
      • Other duties as assigned

      Qualifications:

      • Minimum of high school diploma, GED, or equivalent or technical skill training in the mechanical area
      • Minimum of 3-5 years background experience in general industrial maintenance
      • General knowledge of machinery in the plant
      • Must have background knowledge in electrical, hydraulic, welding, and some PLC training
      • Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal
      • Computer literate
      • Interpersonal skills
      • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
      • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations.
