      Lyons Magnus is seeking a 2nd shift Utility Technician for its Beloit, WI Facility. This position is 2:00pm-10:30pm on a daily schedule. Weekends on a rotating basis. This position must be flexible to work other shifts as needed, to cover vacations, day off, assist with projects, etc.


      Job Summary

      Ensure exceeding customer expectations for quality, safety, and wholesomeness through an operational and analytical focus, attention to detail, defect detection, and corrective/preventative action, and strong internal partnerships with the production department.


      Essential duties

      • Collaborate with different departments to assure the adherence to customer, company quality and food safety standards.
      • Ensure proper use and care of analytical instruments and equipment.
      • Inspect rework before it is used and make sure documentation provides traceability.
      • Perform Quality hold testing.
      • Perform Deviation testing and documentation
      • Maintain GMP and housekeeping standards
      • Ensure compliance to company expectation on meals, breaks and attendance policies.
      • Assist as a Trainer/SME for all QA Lab, Line, and dept. policies and procedures as needed
      • Has knowledge and application of 100% of all laboratory procedures, cross functionally trained and able to cover 100% of Quality Control and Assurance checks or expectations of all production lines and Analytical Laboratory Stations as needed or requested by QA Supervisor/Manager:
      • Basic blend approval process including necessary additions/adjustments and using experience and tools provided for all lines/product SKUs independently, as well as final closing of work orders.
      • Document Review as assigned
      • Participation in sensory program and internal audits as needed
      • Able to backfill a Quality Assurance Technician as needed
      • Must be signed off at a minimum of QA Tech Tier 3
      • Able to work different shifts as needed.

      Requirements

      Physical Demand

      • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
      • Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hairnet, earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, and uniform)
      • Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting to 55 lbs.
      • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

      Education, etc.

      • High School Diploma or equivalent.
      • Exceptional organizational, planning, and overall time management skills
      • Basic computer skills, including the ability to create and use Word and Excel documents.
      • Must be collaborative and a team player.
      • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams
      • Must be able to distinguish with a degree of accuracy taste/smell.
