      Summary:

      In this role, you will work with 340B stakeholders in deriving key insights related to the purchasing of 340B medications and act as a subject matter expert in the areas of 340B purchasing practices, PVP contract utilization, and analysis of purchasing data. This expertise will be used to inform internal strategies related to the development of education, contracts, and resources designed to bring additional value to all program stakeholders and further strengthen compliance with the 340B Program. This role will build and foster relationships with key PVP participant sites in developing new PVP resources while also developing and sharing national best practices.

      Responsibilities:

      • Provide field-based customer support for 340B participants to identify targets of cost savings opportunity through the prime vendor contracts and other purchasing analyses and to support practices to promote 340B compliance.

      • Work with pharmacy leaders to identify, discuss, and facilitate cost savings purchasing opportunities, resulting in drug budget expense reduction.

      • Support HRSA and Apexus leadership team with operational knowledge on special projects regarding pharmacy policy and practice.

      • Work with covered entities to understand dynamic markets impacting pharmacy supply chain and purchasing functions, including policy, operational, and business model evolution.

      • Coordinate team engagement with key PVP participants in identifying supply chain best practices and developing resources designed to help support all 340B program participants

      • Maintain a high level of subject matter expertise and customer satisfaction with health system pharmacy leaders and effectively communicate successes, opportunities, and challenges to Apexus’ leadership, participant advisory councils, and other stakeholders.

      • Leverage deep understanding of brand and specialty drug markets to effectively consult and collaborate with pharmacy teams and strategic Supply/Distribution partners to improve contract price communications and product availability.

      Qualifications:

      • PharmD required including active Board of Pharmacy registration.

      • Completed a pharmacy residency preferred (ASHP approved residency); ASHP board certification (e.g. BCPS) desired.

      • 7 or more years’ experience in related pharmacy fields required.

      • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Word, Excel) is required.

      • Willingness to travel.

      Estimated Hiring Range:

      At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.

      This position is also incentive eligible.
