- Basic knowledge of 3D modeling, including both organic and hard-surface modeling.
- Basic knowledge of UV mapping, texturing, and materials creation.
- Basic knowledge of 3D software applications such as Blender, Autodesk Maya or 3ds Max
- Overall basic understanding of the game asset pipeline process.
- An interest in realistic game styles & aesthetics.
- A strong desire to learn and is open to feedback and mentoring.
- A degree or diploma in 3D art, computer graphics, animation, or a related field is often preferred.
- Basic experience with Blender, Substance Suite, and Photoshop
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine
- Enjoys playing survival genre games

You will not only get the chance to work with seasoned experts and mentors, but also have a real impact on games like Conan: Exiles, or on our ambitious upcoming Open World Survival MMO, Dune: Awakening.
Time, place, and extra information
Your internship will span from January to May 2024 (exact timing to be determined by your university), and will take place in our Oslo studio, located on Kirkegata 15, 0153.

Your Mission in Funcom
Your job would be to use creativity and technical skills to translate ideas and concepts into visually appealing 3D assets, well-optimized for real-time rendering and enhance the overall player experience. You will work closely with game designers, art directors, and other team members to create visually appealing and immersive game environments, props, and other assets using 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering techniques in real-world scenarios.
