    • Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a 3rd Grade Teacher at Palmer Lake Elementary School beginning with the 2025-2026 school year . Must have, or be eligible to receive a Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement. A candidate with strength in the core content areas of math and literacy with an emphasis on the philosophy structured literacy or Science the Reading. Experience with CKLA is preferred. New teachers start August 1, 2025, and students start August 13, 2025.

      Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 17 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 18, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,550-$73,848 . The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website.       *This position is eligible for a new hire bonus of $2,000, $1000 to be paid after 90 days and $1000 paid in March 2026 paycheck.


      Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
