Job Description

- Package all containers in the proper labeled cartons as instructed by the work order, while maintaining a high degree of integrity in Coloplast packaging
- Check cap torques and weights as specified by the work orders
- Label each filled pallet of finished product to facilitate organized storage of finished goods inventory
- Assist in operation of filling equipment—such as inserting sprayers, etc
- Understand, follow, and complete work orders to correctly package the product
- Perform various quality inspections necessary for production
- General good housekeeping practices of packaging area
- Apply continuous improvement approach to packaging area
- Knowledge of company policies, procedures, health and safety regulations, plans and interdepartmental relationships
- Setup of skin care to prepare materials for production line
- Clean and sanitize skin care manufacturing equipment, as required
- Ensure that the working environment is neat and orderly
- Follow all FDA regulations and cGMP guidelines, including the filling out of all necessary documents to ensure compliance—such as cleaning logs
- Perform related duties as requested
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds continuously
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret and implement department procedures.
- Must lead by example and demonstrate professionalism and pass skill and knowledge onto other team members
- Knowledge of materials, machines, tools, and general production steps
- 1-3 years packaging or machine operating experience
- ERP experience with ERP systems (Enterprise One preferred)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Veeva
- This position will support Coloplast Manufacturing EHS Goals and Objectives:
- Comply with company standards for environment, health, and safety.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with instructions from EHS and Supervisor/Lead.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions or job hazards to your Manager.
- Always wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Always follow warning signs and labels, e.g., “HOT”,”DANGER”, etc.
- Report accidents, injuries, illnesses, near misses and property damage to your Supervisor.
- Other production team members during the manufacturing process.
- Quality Group – daily testing and resolving any quality related issues.
- Engineering Group – resolving any machine related issues that cannot be handled by the immediate Production Group.
- Productions Manager – feedback and direction of the Department and individual performance.
- Team Lead-receiving direction and feedback on the daily production process.
- Materials Group-raw material receiving and movement issues.
- Compounding Team Members- to ensure timely and proper movement of the compounded product to the Packaging Department.
- Self-motivation and a genuine interest in improving processes and internal customer relationships.
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to take initiative to keep projects on schedule
- Must work well as a team and be adaptable/flexible.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow up on previous work.
- An understanding of the importance of customer focus

- Ability to lift minimum 25 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds periodically

Are you looking for a new opportunity? Coloplast welcomes you to join the Operations team on 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:00am, training would be on either 1st or 2nd shift for 60 days) as a machine operator in North Mankato, MN. You will operate production equipment to produce wound and skin care products while maintaining compliance to GMPs and ISO standards. You’ll be assisting in packaging and filling of products to ensure readiness for customer satisfaction. Position pays for proven machine operator experience. As a full-time Coloplast employee, you’re eligible for our standard benefit package.
This currently includes:
