- Valid Class 5 license (Class 3 is an asset)
- Experience driving a 5-ton truck
- Manual and powered forklift and pallet jack experience an asset
- Clean drivers abstract preferred
- Dangerous goods experience is an asset
- Electronic log usage is an asset
- Great people skills and ability to integrate with many teams
- Ability to lift items up to 50lbs and knowledge of workplace safety procedures and the ability to adhere to the Lordco Occupational Health and Safety program
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Time management and problem-solving skills
- Operate 3-ton, 5-ton, 10 ton or tractor-trailer trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status.
- Follow all applicable traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with Shippers, Managers and customers.
- Handle and secure cargo properly to prevent damage.
- Report any incidents or accidents to the HD Truck Manager.
- Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition.
- Ensure the Delivery Store is left secure, locked up and armed.
- Use Checkmate App to report in on the set times.
- Comply with company policies and procedures giving special attention to ensure safety and health regulations in the warehouse and stores are followed and enforced.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
