      As a Principal Engineer/Technical Expert in the SMSF team, you will design and implement scalable, high-performance microservices for 5G network functions using Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native technologies. You will develop and optimize control plane services, ensuring seamless service orchestration and network management. Your role includes defining technical strategies, driving CI/CD automation, enhancing system reliability, and ensuring compliance with 3GPP standards. You will also mentor engineers, promote best coding practices, and collaborate cross-functionally to integrate advanced protocols and frameworks, directly contributing to the evolution of next-generation 5G solutions.

      Qualifications

      Must have

      • Education & Experience: Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 8–12 years of software engineering experience, preferably in object-oriented programming and large-scale product-based projects.
      • Cloud & DevOps Expertise: 2+ years of experience with cloud-native, microservices, and containerized architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, POD), along with DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and tools like GIT and Jenkins.
      • Technical Leadership & System Design: Strong ability to lead technical discussions, make architectural decisions, and apply expertise in system design, data structures, and algorithms to build scalable, high-performance applications in Linux environments.
      • Telecom & Core Network Knowledge: Extensive experience in Telco Cloud, 5G Core Network, and network protocols like HTTP/2, ensuring seamless service orchestration and network function optimization.
      • Agile & Collaboration: Proven expertise in Agile methodologies with excellent communication and teamwork skills, fostering cross-functional collaboration in dynamic engineering environments.

      It would be nice if you also had:

      • Good know-how in GO Programming Language
      • Good understanding of the SoC process
      • Experience with customer support
      • Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) development methodology

      Responsibilities

      • Contribute to all phases of software development, from requirements gathering through implementation, testing and maintenance.
      • Join a Scrum Team that owns a defined functional area with a target to translate customer or internal requirements into tangible deliverables.
      • Design, implementation and testing as well as analyzing and solving area-related engineering problems and hitches in Core Engineering 5G SMSF NF will be part of your work.
      • Participate in the design and creation of scalable software or updating and executing the existing automated test set following the new requirements based on your defined duties inside the team.
      • Engage with microservices SW architecture, front-end and back-end development, coding languages, APIs, testing practices, describing your work through technical documentation and integrating third-party SW components.
