    • Plan and deliver standards-based instruction aligned with district curriculum and Idaho state standards.

    • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including students receiving special education, ELL, or gifted services.

    • Valid Idaho Teaching Certificate with appropriate 5th grade or K-8 endorsement(s).

    • Strong knowledge of content areas, curriculum, and instructional strategies for upper elementary grades.

    • Experience using formative assessments and data to drive instruction.

    • Effective classroom management and student engagement techniques.

    • Commitment to inclusion, equity, and meeting the needs of all learners.

    • Familiarity with standards-based grading and/or proficiency-based instruction.

    • Experience using technology tools such as Google Classroom, IXL, or HMH Into Reading/Math.

    • Collaborative, reflective, and growth-oriented mindset.

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Classroom setting within an elementary school.

    • Interaction with students, families, colleagues, and administrators daily.

    • May include supervision duties, recess, lunch, or dismissal as assigned.

    • Idaho State Certification as an Elementary Teacher
    • Bachelor's from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education.
    • Master's Degree in related area preferred.
    • Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels a plus.

      JOB SUMMARY:
      As a member of the District’s certified staff, instructs pupils in the basic concepts of education within the scope and sequence of the district’s education program. Implements such instructions in an effective and efficient manner. Effectively measures the results of that instruction in a manner so as to determine the level of student success.

      Position Summary:

      The 5th Grade Teacher is responsible for creating a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes student growth in core subject areas, including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. The teacher will deliver high-quality instruction, monitor student progress, and collaborate with colleagues and families to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of all learners.
