  Position: Material Handler

  FUNCTION OF THE JOB

  Verify order and tote count and releases orders to appropriate processing area(s).

  INTERACTION:

  · Interaction with other associates in the department.

  · Some interaction with other individuals within the distribution center and company.

  SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES (Essential Functions):

  · Confirm that quantity and number of totes in order matches assigned distro, noting if there are any discrepancies.

  · Releases orders to appropriate processing area(s).

  · Ensure associates are supplied with merchandise at all times.

  · Maintain area cleanliness by removing trash and unused materials.

  · Complete the production sheet throughout the day and ensure to turn in all paperwork at the end of the shift.

  · Perform other duties as assigned.

  SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:

  · There are no supervisory duties.

  PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  · Must be able to stand during the entire assigned shift.

  · Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.

  · Must have full body rotation and mobility (i.e., bending, stooping, reaching, etc.).

  · Must have full hand and arm usage to perform essential job functions.

  · Must be able to lift, push, pull and up to 50 lbs. necessary to distribute orders.

  · Must be able to use stairs to complete essential functions where the department is located.

  QUALIFICATIONS:

  · Must be able to communicate clearly verbally in English or Spanish.

  · Must be able to communicate legibly in written format.

  · Must be able to perform math tasks such as adding and counting
