Building Lakeview High School (8th Grade)
Reports to: High School Principal
Employment Status: Full time
Description: The teacher will deliver all content area instruction to students. The teacher will instruct students in various ways. The teacher will respect and maintain confidentiality of student information. He/she will collaborate with colleagues to review data and provide instructional support for learners. Other duties include, but are not limited to, developing/facilitating parent engagement activities; communicating regularly with parents and colleagues about student achievement, learning goals and attendance; participating in building/district team meetings; and maintaining accurate records of student data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid MI Drivers License
Must possess Valid MI Teacher Certification in Secondary Education
Meets Michigan’s teaching certification requirements for Secondary Math (EX) 6-12
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to lead and/or engage in extra and co-curricular activities
Desire to “Make A Difference” in the lives of adolescents
Ability to develop respect based relationships with students and parents
Team player/ willing to work cooperatively with colleagues
Demonstrate classroom management skills through exceptional planning
Willingness to teach intervention classes preferred or ability to provide instructional coaching preferred
