JOB PURPOSE

This person will be a meaning technical contributor to the Aberdeen project where JJE and PSA are working to bring back firearm innovation to the everyday American. This position will work with existing New Product Develop and Manufacturing teams to bring exciting new products that spread freedom.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accountable for driving New Projects and Processes to bring innovative products high value products to the everyday American.
• Develops new scalable processes to bring new products to market faster and at a higher quality.
• Works in a high performance cross functional team disciplines in Design Engineering, Product Management, Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and additional support functions
• Evaluates product pitches and ideas from internal and external customers.
• All other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong desire to spread freedom to the everyday American through innovative new firearms products.
• Strong experience in Industrialization of New Products and/or Firearms Design
• Strong ability to understand technical product development issues and facilitate the development and implementation of action plans with engineers to resolve issues preferred.
• Maintain a positive attitude, be goal-oriented and focused on the overall strategic picture of the organization and follow through with tasks assigned.
• Knowledge of materials processing, machining, and assembly processes
• Ability to work with minimal supervision; and the flexibility to quickly address new directions/concerns.
• Must effectively work as part of a team as a dependable team player.
• Must always maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The job is performed indoors in a traditional, temperature-controlled office setting and in a manufacturing facility. Time will be divided between sitting at a desk (while using a computer or other device) and visiting all JJE owned facilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend (or a combination of those) for up to 8-10 hours per day as required. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
